Galilee Christian Tour

The Galilee is mostly known in the Christian world, as the region where Jesus has spent most of his life.

We'll start the day touring the city of Nazareth, the capital city of the lower Galilee. We will see Mary's Well, that the city of Nazareth evolved around, and the place where Mary fetched water. We will visit the Basilica of the Annunciation, where Mary was announced by the angel Gabriel of the coming birth of Christ. Next we'll head over to St. Joseph's Church and see the traditional location of his carpentry.

In the nearby village of Kafr-kana, known as Cana of Galilee, we'll visit the place where Jesus performed his first miracle, turning water into wine.

From Kafr-Kana, we will drive down to the Sea of Galilee. On the way we'll visit Mt. Beatitudes, where the Sermon on the Mount took place, on the shores of the sea, we'll visit Tabgha, where the multiplication of fish and loaves took place, and the nearby Church of Peter's Primacy (Mensa Christi) where Jesus did his last Performance during his apparition.

We'll proceed to Capernaum, known as "the town of Jesus". Here his ministry gathered momentum. We will visit a 4th century synagogue and a church that was built on the traditional site of St. Peter's mother in law.

Driving around the Sea of Galilee, we'll pass by Bethsaida, where Jesus recruited his first disciples, Kursi where Jesus sent the daemons into the sea healing the possessed men.

Along the coastline there are many restaurants serving the common fish of the Sea of Galilee, known as St. Peter's Fish that might be the fish mentioned in various occasions in the Bible.

We will end the day by the Jordan River
